The Lilli Scarf is a delicate spring scarf that combines a playful lace pattern with small cables. The lace motif features pretty butterflies, giving the design a special lightness.

You can choose between two cast-on options: a simple version for beginners and a slightly more refined one with an I-cord, ideal for more advanced knitters. After casting on, the stitch count increases evenly while the pattern is incorporated right from the beginning.

The scarf can be made in two lengths – either short for a single wrap around the neck or longer to wrap around twice. With the #lilliscarf, you can complement your Lilli Camisole with a cute matching accessory – perfect for using up leftover yarn.

For the longer version, you’ll need approximately 180 m of fingering-weight yarn.

Size 1 (wrapped once around the neck):
approx. 70 cm 27.5 in long / 30 cm 11.8 in wide

Size 2 (wrapped twice around the neck):
approx. 105 cm 41.3 in long / 9.5 cm 3.7 in wide

Gauge

  1. Sample (Fingering): 32 stitches / 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 in in patterh, after washing and blocking, knitted flat on 3.0 mm needles.

  2. Sample (DK): 24 stitches / 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 in in pattern, after washing and blocking, knitted flat on 3.5 mm needles.

Gauge is only a rough guideline. You can knit the scarf with virtually any yarn weight. Fingering weight yarn (approx. 200 m/50 g) or DK yarn (approx. 100 m/50 g) is recommended.
